Main Responsibilities

• Must have knowledge of the requirements of erecting and maintaining traffic control signs and other devices as prescribed in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
• Must keep equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly at all times on the projects.
• Be able to carry out detailed instructions, setting up and removing traffic control devices, but also must be able to use good judgement in decision making and be able to work without direct supervision.
• Maintain a good attitude and be polite at all times to motorists.
• Have the ability to work safely in traffic situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred), but not necessarily required.
• 1-3 months of work-related experience and/or training (preferred).
• Must be able to work day or night shifts.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Provide own transportation to and from work.
• Must have a valid driver's license (preferred).
• Must be able to provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States.

Physical Demands

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach and signal with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Stand and walk frequently.
• Sit occasionally.
• Regularly use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Have 20/40 vision, either naturally or with corrective lenses.
• Hear should be excellent or corrected by audio device.

Work Environment

• Exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration.
• Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
