Reentry Program Peer Coach & Case Manager

About the Role

A Peer Recovery Coach / Recovery Support Specialist provides individual and group coaching to individuals with substance use and mental health challenges, especially those reentering the community after incarceration.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate recovery coaching in jail and outpatient settings
• Support clients with co-occurring disorders
• Assist with reentry planning
• Connect clients to ongoing services
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Ensure confidentiality
• Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and external providers

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health, substance use, or peer support
• Active certification (CAPRC-I, CAPRC-II, CPRS, CPRC, or CRS)
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Comfortable working with trauma-affected populations
• Familiarity with criminal justice challenges
