Responsibilities

  • Promote and connect customers to Vermont Department of Labor Workforce Development and partner services.
  • Assess customer needs and effectively connect individuals to appropriate workforce, training, education, supportive service, and community-based resources that support successful re-employment outcomes.
  • Conduct initial and subsequent fact-finding interviews with claimants and involve analytical inquiries requiring technical knowledge related to Unemployment Insurance eligibility, compliance, and RESEA program requirements.
  • Provide information, access, and referrals to an array of Vermont Department of Labor Workforce Development services and re-employment-focused programs.
  • Support customers in developing individualized employment and service plans aligned with their employment goals and barriers to re-employment.
  • Perform significant data entry, documentation, and comply with technical programmatic reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree AND three (3) years or more of experience in either: employment services, human services, human resources, or vocational counseling.
  • OR Associate's degree AND five (5) years or more of experience in either: employment services, human services, human resources, or vocational counseling.
  • OR High School diploma or equivalent AND seven (7) years or more of experience in either: employment services, human services, human resources, or vocational counseling.

Qualifications

  • A strong understanding of local, regional, and statewide community resources is essential.
  • Significant data entry, documentation, and compliance with technical programmatic reporting requirements are essential components of this position.
  • Accurate and timely documentation is necessary to demonstrate customer engagement, continued eligibility, compliance with Unemployment Insurance requirements, and adherence to RESEA program standards.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Details on pay will be provided upon hire.

Schedule

The RESEA Facilitator will be based in Burlington and requires in-office work five days per week from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional statewide travel required for staff trainings and meetings.
