About the role
Reefer Technician responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration units on trucks, trailers, and shipping containers.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose control board failures
- Replace compressors
- Repair evaporator and condenser systems
- Perform advanced diagnostics
- Replace sensors and electrical components
- Analyze refrigeration performance
- Oversee major repairs
- Assist with warranty support
- Maintain accurate service records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 608 certification
- EPA certification
- Valid driver’s license
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Must provide mechanic tools
- Complete required safety and driving certifications
Skills
- Ability to handle physical demands like lifting up to 75 pounds
- Working in varying environments
- Operating in moderate to high noise levels
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
