Recycling Technician

About the role
The Recycling Technician is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high-quality service, maintaining proper supply levels, adhering to company policies, and assisting in providing a safe working environment. This role requires energy, enthusiasm, and strong interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people while maintaining a commitment to customer service.
Responsibilities
- Sort and organize metals, glass, wood, paper, plastic, electronics, and more into appropriate containers.
- Load and unload recyclables onto trucks.
- Clean materials as needed for recycling requirements, which may include using saws, blowtorches, and other power tools for proper disposal.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, power lifts, and other heavy equipment (training provided if needed).
- Operate a motorized pallet jack.
- Work in cold environments, such as freezers (proper coveralls provided).
- Remove boxes, banding, and plastic from the shop floor using power industrial vehicles.
- Assist with cleaning tasks.
- Perform duties with reliability and strong attention to detail.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain high performance.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong detail orientation and customer service focus.
- High school diploma or GED.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Perform repetitive movements.
- Frequent bending and twisting.
- Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Schedule
Full-time, 2nd shift: Sunday–Thursday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

$15/hour.
