Recruiting Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Review incoming applications and screen candidates for basic qualifications.
- Manage candidate communication throughout the hiring process, including professionally declining applicants when necessary.
- Schedule interviews across multiple time zones and coordinate logistics with hiring managers and interview teams.
- Watch and assess pre-recorded video interviews to support initial candidate screening and shortlisting.
- Affiliate with posting new job requisitions and updating existing job descriptions to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Work within an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to move candidates through the hiring stages and ensure timely follow-up.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records and status updates in ATS and HRIS platforms.
- Collaborate closely with recruiters and hiring managers to support timely and effective hiring decisions.
- Provide general administrative support to the talent acquisition and human resources team as needed.
- Contribute to a positive candidate experience by ensuring clear communication, organized processes, and prompt responses.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition coordination.
- Experience supporting talent acquisition, recruiting, or human resources functions.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or HRIS platforms, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for scheduling, documentation, and communication.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with recruiters, hiring managers, and team members.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a talent acquisition coordinator, recruiting coordinator, or similar administrative support role in HR.
- Background in human resources, recruitment, onboarding, or hiring processes.
- Comfort working with video interview platforms and assessing pre-recorded interviews.
- No formal degree required; candidates interested in transitioning to a permanent role may benefit from a bachelor’s degree or an associate degree with substantial experience.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a professional and positive candidate experience.
- Interest in growing into broader talent acquisition or human resources responsibilities.
Work Environment
You will join a collaborative talent acquisition team of approximately seven people, with team members based in different locations, including both on-site and virtual colleagues. The team operates in a modern office environment within a multi-floor building that offers a professional setting with cubicles and shared spaces. This is a full-time, on-site role with a standard Monday through Friday schedule, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The work environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, with a focus on supporting high-quality hiring processes and offering opportunities for contract roles to transition into permanent positions based on performance and business needs.
About the Role
This role focuses on supporting the full recruitment lifecycle by managing incoming applications, coordinating interviews, and maintaining accurate candidate records. You will partner closely with recruiters and hiring teams to ensure a smooth, timely, and professional hiring experience for candidates while helping to improve processes within the Applicant Tracking System and HR systems.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
Location
This is a Contract position based out of Norfolk, VA.
