About The Role
The Associate, Counsel, and Law Student Division at Fisher Phillips is seeking a highly organized and proactive Attorney Recruiting Assistant to support its recruiting efforts across multiple levels, including lateral attorneys, entry-level candidates, and law students participating in the Summer Clerk Program. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work or a hybrid setup in Southern California, with the option to work from a Fisher Phillips office if preferred. The role is integral to the firm’s talent acquisition strategy, ensuring a seamless and professional recruiting experience for candidates and internal stakeholders alike. The successful candidate will work closely with the West Coast Manager of Attorney Recruiting and the Director of Attorney Recruiting, assisting with various administrative, logistical, and program-specific tasks. This position demands excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. The role provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience in legal recruiting, develop professional relationships within the legal industry, and contribute to the firm’s continued success in attracting top legal talent.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 1–2 years of experience in legal recruiting, professional services, or a corporate environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with applicant tracking systems such as viRecruit or similar platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Proactive, self-directed work style with the capacity to work collaboratively
- Willingness to work additional hours during peak recruiting periods as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Director and West Coast Manager of Attorney Recruiting, including managing correspondence, calendars, and scheduling logistics
- Aid in processing expense reports and check requests through systems like Chrome River
- Prepare reports and respond to ad hoc data requests and surveys related to recruiting activities
- Cook up interview schedules, meetings, and logistics for virtual and in-person candidate interviews
- Support the onboarding process for lateral attorney hires, ensuring a smooth transition
- Maintain accurate candidate files and databases, updating status and tracking information diligently
- Aid in law school outreach efforts, including participation in job fairs, panels, and networking events
- Support the execution of the Summer Clerk Program, including logistics and event coordination
- Manage on-campus interview logistics, including resume packet preparation, scheduling, and follow-up
- Update and maintain recruiting data within the applicant tracking system to ensure accuracy
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the firm’s recruiting goals
