About the role
The Recruiter is responsible for screening candidates, negotiating compensation packages, presenting profiles to facilities, and contracting professionals to work at HCA and non-HCA facilities. This role also maintains daily operational activities for travelers during their assignments.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with Hospital Account Managers and travelers regarding availability, open positions, and assignment changes.
- Ensure schedule availability of all active travelers is updated and documentation is entered into the system to facilitate quick interviews.
- Collaborate with other departments (Housing, QA, etc.) to ensure timely assignment starts.
- Keep the Housing Department informed of all assignment changes.
- Ensure travel staff compliance prior to placement.
- Maintain accuracy of traveler information in the Travel Module.
- Develop a growing pipeline of potential travel candidates using various recruiting sources.
- Generate and actively recruit referrals from current and former nurses.
- Maintain consistent contact with travelers on assignment to provide high customer service, troubleshooting, counseling, and problem-solving.
- Retain travelers through weekly quality control calls and career path communication to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Communicate with the Director of Travel on any issues that may lead to assignment cancellation.
- Consistently meet or exceed established goals both individually and departmentally.
- Participate in sharing sales and recruiting strategies with the Recruitment Department to achieve order fill goals.
- Fully articulate and adhere to the requirements of each facility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-3 years of recruiting experience, preferably within Healthcare.

- Able to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
- Ability to work well independently and within a team environment.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with travelers and employees with diverse personalities.
- Basic computer knowledge such as MS Outlook, Excel, and MS Word.
- Maintains working area and equipment in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions
- Exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs frequently.
- Requires prolonged sitting and some bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
- Requires the ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and to receive detailed information through oral communication.
