About the role

The Senior Technical Recruiter at Mantis plays a crucial role in sourcing and hiring highly specialized talent within technical fields such as BMS/BAS/EPMS controls, HVAC, electrical, and related disciplines. This role involves managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from understanding role requirements and sourcing candidates to coordinating interviews and extending offers. The successful candidate will partner closely with hiring managers to define role specifications, develop targeted sourcing strategies, and maintain a steady pipeline of qualified candidates. The Senior Recruiter is responsible for ensuring a seamless candidate experience, maintaining accurate recruitment data, and driving process efficiencies to meet hiring goals. This position is vital to supporting Mantis's growth by attracting top talent in a competitive market and reducing time-to-fill for critical technical roles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for Building Controls roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers
  • Conduct structured meetings with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, technical skills, compensation, location, and urgency
  • Develop and maintain talent maps for Building Controls positions, identifying target companies, candidate pools, and sourcing channels
  • Execute advanced sourcing strategies utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, ZoomInfo, referrals, competitor mapping, and other platforms to generate qualified candidates
  • Screen candidates for technical skills, role fit, availability, and motivation, ensuring alignment with company needs
  • Present qualified candidates with detailed notes on fit, risks, and next steps to hiring managers
  • Coordinate interview scheduling, collect feedback, and facilitate timely decision-making to maintain recruiting velocity
  • Provide a high-touch candidate experience through regular communication, setting clear expectations, and guiding candidates through the process
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment data in ATS, including source, status, and next steps

Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting for technical, skilled-trade, engineering, construction, or operations roles
  • Proven ability to proactively source and engage candidates using various platforms and techniques
  • Strong partnership skills to collaborate with hiring managers and define role requirements
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), preferably Lever, to manage pipelines and data accuracy
  • Excellent follow-up and organizational skills to handle multiple roles and priorities
  • Effective communication skills for candidate engagement and stakeholder management
  • Ability to manage recruitment metrics and deliver results within established timelines
