About the role

Sony Electronics is seeking a contract Recruiter to deliver full-cycle recruiting support for high-impact technical and non-technical roles, with a strong emphasis on Engineering, Sales, and Marketing functions. This is a six-month assignment with the possibility of extension based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, hiring priorities, and timelines, ensuring alignment throughout the recruiting lifecycle.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by providing guidance on recruiting processes, interviewing techniques, and best practices for candidate evaluation.
  • Champion inclusive hiring practices and ensure fair, consistent candidate assessment across all stages of the hiring process.
  • Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies leveraging multiple channels, including LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and professional networks.
  • Proactively identify, engage, and attract qualified candidates through targeted outreach and relationship building.
  • Build and maintain diverse talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs.
  • Review resumes and applications to evaluate candidate qualifications, experience, and alignment with role requirements.
  • Conduct phone screens and structured interviews to assess candidate skills, experience, and overall suitability for the role.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and interview panelists, managing coordination, communication, and candidate experience.
  • Support the offer process, including offer creation in Workday and coordination with compensation, HR business partners, and hiring managers.
  • Initiate background checks, move candidates to hire in Workday, and facilitate onboarding handoffs to the People Experience or Service Delivery team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and requisition data within the applicant tracking system to support reporting and compliance.
  • Ensure all recruiting activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance recruiting processes, tools, and the overall candidate experience, sharing recommendations with the recruiting team.
  • Stay informed on relevant industry, talent market, and labor trends to support data-driven recruiting strategies.
  • Support employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives to attract top talent and strengthen Sony’s employment brand.
  • Participate in career fairs, industry events, and networking activities to promote Sony Electronics and build long-term talent communities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources functions with 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting supporting both technical/specialized roles (engineering) and/or non-technical roles (sales, marketing).
  • Experience with sourcing candidates for hard-to-fill roles using LinkedIn or similar tools.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (required), Workday (preferred).
  • Successful track record working with hiring managers and candidates on timelines and process expectations.
  • Experience managing multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience independently coordinating interviews across multiple stakeholders, time zones, and calendars.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment and labor laws, OFCCP and EEO compliance.
  • Experience supporting candidates requiring U.S. work authorization in coordination with internal partners.
  • Exposure to global recruiting, including Canada.
  • Experience supporting recruiting across multiple teams and business functions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels within an organization.
  • Experience contributing to recruiting process improvement or system enhancements.
  • Experience providing consistent, high-quality service across multiple business units and management structures.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment within guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team player with strong emotional intelligence.
  • Capable of thriving in a remote or hybrid work environment.

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage for this position is between $30 to $37.
