Recruiter

Responsibilities

• To recruit qualified drivers who meet or exceed Marten Transport, Ltd. hiring criteria.
• To interview driver applicants over the phone and/or Internet for available positions.
• To make sales presentations about Marten Transport, regarding benefits, pay, equipment, etc., to applicants.
• To track applicants through the entire application process, including DAC, motor vehicle record, and reference checking.
• To process and verify histories by calling, faxing, and writing to employment references.
• To make hiring decisions using hiring criteria to determine qualifications and suitability for employment as a Marten Driver.
• To notify approved applicants of orientation day schedule and administer travel arrangements for newly hired drivers.
• To promote the driver referral program and other recruiting programs.
• To report to the Recruiting Supervisor on issues and problems as needed.
• To occasionally travel to recruiting functions.
• To perform other duties as assigned.

  Education/Training

  • Absorves an associates degree or three years of applicable experience in the transportation industry or sales.
