About the role
VMSSolution is seeking a Recreational Therapist for a client located in Ione, CA.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic recreation services to clients as per their individualized treatment plans.
- Plan and implement recreational activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive health.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning.
- Assess client needs and progress regularly to adjust activities as necessary.
- Document client progress and activities in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Current California license as a Recreational Therapist.
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related field.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or mental health conditions.
- Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
