About the role
VMSSolution is seeking a Recreational Therapist to join their team at a client location in Coalinga, CA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement therapeutic recreational programs tailored to individual needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
- Assess and document patient progress and needs
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices
- Adapt programs based on patient feedback and clinical observations
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Recreational Therapist in California
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related field
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and techniques
- Understanding of patient assessment and intervention strategies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
