About the role
VMSSolution is seeking a Recreational Therapist to join their team at a client location in Imperial, CA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive health.
- Assess client needs and modify activities to meet individual goals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans.
- Document client progress and communicate with family members and caregivers as needed.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.
Requirements
- Current California license as a Recreational Therapist.
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related field.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses.
- Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
