Recreational Services Aide

Imperial, a Villa Center is seeking a Recreational Services Aide to join their team!

Responsibilities

• Implements activity programming as planned and assigned to meet the functional levels, needs and interests of each resident.
• Affords assistance to residents to and from activity programs and outings.
• Maintains a positive rapport with family members and encourages family support in programs.
• Provides feedback to the assessment and evaluation of the resident’s participation when requested.
• Communicates a resident’s concerns and responses to interventions to immediate supervisor.
• Supports a resident’s individual needs, preferences, customary routines and choices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to perform the tasks required and lead groups in activities.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of prior experience in a relevant role, preferred.
• At least one year of experience working in a healthcare setting.

Physical Requirements

• Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required.
