RECREATION THERAPIST (Music/Art Therapy)

Responsibilities

A Recreational Therapist Designs and initiates appropriate therapeutic services in order to improve the physical, mental and emotional well-being of the patients. Therapeutic services include, but are not limited to: entertainment, exercise, relaxation, expression, music, art, pet and other recreational programs.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy or a related field.
• Certification in Music/Art or related Therapy fields.
• PREFERRED: One year of experience in program development and implementation of therapeutic recreation activities in an inpatient psychiatric hospital.
