Recreation/Music Therapist Assistant

About the role

Have fun at work AND make a difference in our Veterans’ lives. The Missouri Veterans Home is hiring a Recreation/Music Therapist Assistant to assist the team with therapeutic and leisure activities for our state’s heroes.

Responsibilities

• Learn and demonstrate basic methods and application of recreational, music, and other therapeutic activities
• Make preparations/arrangements for and carry out activities, such as group outings
• Provide resources and support to Veterans to enhance skills appropriate to their physical and cognitive ability
• Document electronically activity attendance records, assessments, progress notes, and care plans
• Drive bus or other state vehicles during day/night both in town and on highway
• Lift and move Veterans as needed

Qualifications

• 0 - 1 years of relevant experience
• Current Missouri Class E driver license or able to obtain within 60 days

Pay

Hourly Pay: $16.99 - $18.41 Pay based on experience
