Responsibilities
- Ability to work remotely in assigned location / region
- Ability to travel via personal vehicle or AWARE vehicle to designated cities / regions to meet with clients and provide services
- Experience in assessment and observational skills
- Experience planning and implementing TR interventions to assist clients in increasing independence in lifestyle
- Experience researching and applying evidence-based practices in Therapeutic Recreation
- Design TR protocols, session plans and processes
- Implements interventions that are sensitive to the client age, cultural background, stage of development, limitations of disabling conditions, skill and experience level
- Document and evaluate services for efficiency and quality
Talents, skills, and abilities
- A bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation which meets the standards of NCTRC
- Completion of a NCTRC approved internship
- CTRS certification at hire strongly preferred or the ability to obtain national certification of CTRS within one year of hire
