Recreation Therapist - Lifestyle Wellness (Great Falls)

AWARE is looking for a Recreation Therapist to join our team. Responsibilities

• Work remotely in assigned location/region.
• Travel via personal vehicle or AWARE vehicle to designated cities/regions to meet with clients and provide services.
• Use assessment and observational skills to evaluate clients.
• Plan and implement Therapeutic Recreation (TR) interventions to assist clients in increasing independence in lifestyle.
• Research and apply evidence-based practices in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Design TR protocols, session plans, and processes.
• Implement interventions sensitive to client age, cultural background, stage of development, limitations of disabling conditions, skill, and experience level.
• Document and evaluate services for efficiency and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation which meets the standards of NCTRC.
• Completion of a NCTRC-approved internship.
• CTRS certification at hire strongly preferred or the ability to obtain national certification of CTRS within one year of hire.

Pay

AWARE recreation therapists earn $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year.
