Recreation Supervisor (Full Time)

About the role

The Recreation Supervisor assists in managing the overall operations of the Recreation Department, including beach, pool, child activities, and program coordination. This role involves general management responsibilities such as interviewing, scheduling, and counseling employees, as well as coordinating special events with management and leads. Additional duties include learning payroll for the Recreation department. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing recreation department operations, including beach, pool, and child activities.
• Coordinate and oversee recreational programs and special events.
• Interview, schedule, and counsel recreation department employees.
• Learn and perform payroll duties for the Recreation department.
• Work closely with management and leads to plan and execute property-wide events.
• Operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clear communication.
• Safely drive a golf cart and adhere to traffic laws.

Requirements

• Previous experience in recreation or a similar role.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• CPR/First Aid/Lifeguard Certification may be required.
• Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors all day in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 85 pounds.
• Ability to reach, bend, and twist on a constant basis.
• Comfortable being in the sun for extended periods.
• Good communication skills; fluent in speaking, writing, and reading English.
• Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends.

Qualifications

• A genuine desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to take direction from management.

Pay

$24.00 per hour.
