Recreation Supervisor

Examples of Duties

• Assists in the implementation of activities, classes, programs, cultural arts, physical activities and special interest activities.
• Opens and closes Parks & Recreation facilities.
• Sets up tables and chairs for classes and programs.
• Performs needed evening and weekend custodial and maintenance work, including sweeping and cleaning; stocking bathrooms and other areas with supplies; wiping down kitchen and mopping floors as needed; performing other custodial or maintenance work as required.
• Provides passive security for the recreation center and grounds.
• Affords assistance in the supervision of classes, workshops and activities for persons engaged in recreation programs and co-sponsored programs.
• Responds to public inquiries about recreation programs made by telephone, correspondence, or during public meetings.
• Promotes interest and provides information regarding recreation programs to school officials, other recreation officials, community service groups, and the general public.
• Affords assistance in the development and implementation of community recreation programs.
