Duties

The primary function of the incumbent is to assist patrons, provide information and complete transactions in all areas of leisure and recreation to include booking and setting up of tours. Provides general information of the surrounding area, and other worldwide opportunities serviced by the Travel, Recreation and ITR Office. Monitors operating budget through daily and monthly reports; informs manager of discrepancies.

Responsible for all the administrative and financial suspense, inventories, registrations, collection of fees, payments, petty cash, publicity, and "end-of-the-month" reports for both the Travel Office and ITR. Receives telephone calls; greets and assists visitors with travel and leisure information on the local area tours and on the tours offered by the ITR. Uses sources such as the Internet and other professional sources to research information. Screens and distributes incoming correspondence; receives official and personal correspondence and administrative or technical materials.

Requirements

  • Conditions of employment: Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Tuesday through Friday 9:30 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work some Saturdays in support of MWR special events and programs.

Qualifications

A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following Experience OR a combination of experience and education that provided the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation or entertainment travel and leisure programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups. Experience MUST be clearly reflected on your Resume at the time of application to be considered.
