Supervisory Recreation Specialist NF-03
About the role
This position supervises a staff of 3-12 employees, assigns and reviews work assignments, plans work schedules, approves or disapproves leave, determines performance objectives, and evaluates performance.
Responsibilities
- Supports the activity by applying a practical knowledge of recreational activities and skills in the use of recreation material and facilities.
- Executes recreation events, programs and services.
- Recommends items of supplies, materials, prizes, decoration, refreshments, and equipment needed for program functions.
- Aids in training new personnel.
Requirements
Must be able to support the activity by applying a practical knowledge of recreational activities and skills in the use of recreation material and facilities. Assists with training new personnel. Assures proper security measures are taken to safeguard monies, property, equipment and facility. Assists with other recreation programs in the Recreation Center as needed.

Area of Consideration: This job is open to candidates who are located in the local commuting area. (Within a 50-mile radius of Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield, GA.) (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)
