Recreation Director

About the role

We are seeking a Recreation Director to join our team. The position offers competitive wages within the range of $22-$24 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, organize and direct the implementation of activity/recreation programs in accordance with current state and federal guidelines and regulations, and Company policies and procedures.
• Design programs based on comprehensive assessments, individual interests, and the physical, mental, spiritual, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

Requirements

• At least 2-4 years of experience working with an adult population in healthcare settings, specifically delivering activity therapy.
• Flexible and adaptable to change.
• Ability to organize, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license, clear DMV record, and insurability under the company’s insurance policy.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to long-term care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college (not required).
• Certification or training in therapeutic recreation (not required).
• Supervisory experience (not required).
• Previous experience in Skilled Nursing environments (not required).

Pay

Compensation for this role varies based on a variety of factors including location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The hourly wage range is $22-$24.
