About the role
We are seeking a Recreation Director to join our team. The position offers competitive wages, great benefits, growth opportunities, and continuing education/training.
Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, organize and direct the implementation of activity/recreation programs in accordance with current state and federal guidelines and regulations, and Company policies and procedures.
- Design programs based on comprehensive assessments, residents' interests, and their physical, mental, spiritual, and psychosocial well-being.
- Ensure compliance with nursing practices, procedures, and guidelines relevant to long-term care.
- Adapt to changes and manage priorities effectively to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- 2-4 years’ experience working with an adult population in healthcare settings, delivering activity therapy.
- Flexible to accommodate changes and adaptable to new situations.
- Valid driver’s license, clear DMV record, and insurable under Company's insurance policy.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to perform job duties.
- Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, and related laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college (Nice to have).
- Certification or training in therapeutic recreation (Nice to have).
- Supervisory experience (Nice to have).
- Previous experience in Skilled Nursing environment (Nice to have).
