Recreation Director

About the role

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, organize and direct the implementation of activity/recreation programs in accordance with current state and federal guidelines and regulations, and Company policies and procedures.
• Design programs based on comprehensive assessments, residents' interests, and their physical, mental, spiritual, and psychosocial well-being.
• Ensure all activities comply with legal requirements and company policies.
• Adapt programs to meet the changing needs of residents.
• Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Manage a budget for program materials and resources.

Requirements

• 2-4 years’ experience working with an adult population in healthcare settings, delivering activity therapy.
• Flexible with the ability to adapt to change.
• Valid driver’s license, clear DMV record, and insurable under Company's insurance policy.
• Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college (Nice to have).
• Certification or training in therapeutic recreation (Nice to have).
• Supervisory experience (Nice to have).
• Previous experience in Skilled Nursing environment (Nice to have).

Pay

Salary Range: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour. Compensation for roles varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
