Recreation Aide

About the role

Serve as the welcoming face of recreation facilities, creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for diverse users including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and fostering a positive atmosphere.
• Verify facility access using DukeCard, Mobile DukeCard, or MyRec Mobile ID, and review membership status to ensure compliance with usage policies.
• Assist with check-in procedures, explain facility policies, and maintain accurate guest records.
• Support operational tasks such as key management, facility reservations, and documenting incidents or concerns.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure safety, manage lost and found items, and support emergency response efforts.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth facility operations and promote a welcoming environment.
