Recreation Aide

MTC is proud to operate the San Diego Job Corps Center in Imperial Beach, CA. Our staff provides quality services to local youth and values dedicated professionals who improve lives.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, plan, and direct students engaged in center-sponsored activities both on and off center.
• Teach healthy and fun extracurricular activities using fun and creative skills.
• Conduct and coordinate recreation activities and chaperone students to such functions.
• Assist with monitoring the student store and conducting PE classes.
• Plan and conduct various activities to enhance student retention and meet all students' needs.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience working with youth is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency are required.
• A valid commercial driver's license (Class B) with an acceptable driving record and passenger endorsement is preferred.
