Recreation Aid (Trainee-Lifeguard) NF-01

About the role

This position is located at Fort Stewart Pools, Fort Stewart, GA. This vacancy is for multiple Aquatic facilities located on Fort Stewart, GA. Working evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Mandatory certifications must be complete within 30 calendar days of employment.
• Works under close supervision wherein the work is closely reviewed/monitored and detailed guidance provided.

Requirements

• Fifteen (15) year old lifeguards must comply with the restriction of the DOL Child Labors Law (Jan 17, 2006).
• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• The incumbent may be subject to additional background checks if required to have regular and recurring contact with children.
• Must have current health assessment that documents good physical health, free from communicable disease IAW current Army Policy.
• Be able to obtain within 30 days and maintain the following certifications: Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED from a nationally recognized agency.

Qualifications

• Must be able to swim and participate in the lifeguard certifications.

• Area of Consideration: This job is open to candidates who are located in the local community area. (Within a 50-mile radius of Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield, GA).
• Required Documents: Resume, DD-214/ Statement of Service, DA 3434 or Equivalent, Sponsors PCS Orders and Marriage Certificate, SF-50/ Notification of Personnel Action.

• Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
• Allowances and Differentials: This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
• Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
