Serves as a Facility Aid in a fitness facility under the direction of the Facility Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a fitness facility.
  • Circulates among patrons to ensure service is satisfactory; provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
  • Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions.
  • Performs facility cleanliness tasks and/or monitors contracts.
  • Assists with publicity of programs and events, including delivery and placement of posters, flyers, and other promotional material.
  • Issues and receives equipment to authorized users.
  • Monitors fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance, repair, or replacement as appropriate.
  • Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
  • Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
  • Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must complete the MWR Orientation Course and Customer Service training within 6 months of employment.
