Serves as a Facility Aid in a fitness facility under the direction of the Facility Manager.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a fitness facility.
- Circulates among patrons to ensure service is satisfactory; provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
- Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions.
- Performs facility cleanliness tasks and/or monitors contracts.
- Assists with publicity of programs and events, including delivery and placement of posters, flyers, and other promotional material.
- Issues and receives equipment to authorized users.
- Monitors fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance, repair, or replacement as appropriate.
- Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
- Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
- Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must complete the MWR Orientation Course and Customer Service training within 6 months of employment.

This position is part of a pay-banded system. Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized. Incentives and bonuses will not be paid.
