Duties

Serves as a Facility Aid in a Fitness Facility, working under the direction of the Facility Manager. Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of the fitness facility, including:

  • Circulating among patrons to ensure satisfactory service, providing information, and general instruction on equipment, facilities, and machinery usage.
  • Assisting in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions.
  • Maintaining facility cleanliness and/or monitoring contracts.
  • Assisting with publicity for programs and events, including distributing posters, flyers, and other promotional materials.
  • Issuing and receiving equipment to authorized users.
  • Monitoring fitness equipment condition, tracking maintenance, and arranging repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Performing minor maintenance and cleaning of facility equipment.

Requirements

Conditions of employment include:

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements.
  • One-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactory completion of employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Tier 1 background investigation in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
  • Must possess MWR Orientation Course and Customer Service certification within 6 months of employment.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess:

  • Related work experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties outlined above.
  • Experience must be clearly reflected on the resume at the time of application.

This position does not have an education qualification requirement. Resumes should be two pages or less and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.
