Responsibilities
- Facilitate weekly parenting and/or recovery groups, check in with participants and provide one on one support when needed.
- Care for proper consent, comprehensive intake, BARC-10 and quality of documented and securely retained for each member.
- Understand and apply 42 CFR Part II to recovery community practice setting.
- Coordinate weekly mutual aid meetings ensuring adequate participation and facilitator communication.
- Update social media platforms in accordance with daily schedule and special events.
- Provide community outreach that will encourage new participants in advance of ongoing meetings and recovery programming as particular meeting format deems appropriate.
- Keep current and accurate data, including but not limited to documentation pertaining to program participation, new members, center activities, special events and peer support services.
- Perform other related duties/projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- CRSW.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- At least three years’ experience in the field or an equivalent of higher education in the fields of social work, psychology, human services, or sociology.
- Good interpersonal skills, non-judgmental attitude.
- Professional appearance and conduct.
- Personal and driving background checks.
- Well-written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of network and computer systems.
About the role
This opportunity allows you to start working immediately while building toward a permanent position based on performance and organizational needs. In this role, you’ll support recovery coaching, assist with programming and volunteer coordination, and collaborate with staff and community partners. The Recovery Specialist is a position that coordinates between other SHRC personnel and assists staff as needed. Must be available and qualified to provide billable recovery coaching sessions with center members.
