Recovery Specialist
About the role
High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency dedicated to treating and preventing substance use disorders and mental illness. We offer a variety of programs across Southeastern Massachusetts, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services, as well as support for survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness.
Responsibilities
- Have knowledge of substance use disorders & mental health conditions
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, & boundaries
- Facilitate & document groups discussions
- Complete client admission documentation
- Complete property searches, monitor clients while maintaining a therapeutic, safe, & calm unit
- Observe & account for patients at all times ensuring safety (hourly checks w/ documentation)
- Escort patients to meals & fresh air breaks
- Attend required meetings & mandatory trainings
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent GED
