Recovery Specialist

About the role

The Recover Specialist role is responsible for preserving the Credit Union’s assets by collecting delinquent and/or charged off accounts via payment arrangements and/or making recommendations to management for legal/small claims action.

Responsibilities

• Contacting delinquent and/or charged off accounts by phone, mail and email; taking appropriate action to establish payment arrangement and/or negotiating settlements with members.
• Skipping tracing for new information for members including address, contact information, place of employment, assets, etc.
• Processing incoming garnishments, payment and lien releases.
• Preparing legal/small claim recommendations.
• Adhere to and champion our core values of curious minds, collaborative hearts, and continuous excellence.

Requirements

• One to three years of similar or related experience.
• Prior experience working for a credit union is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Able to manage time and work load effectively.
