Recovery House Technician-Part Time

About the role

The Recovery House Technician provides safety and support services to residents of Renewal, Inc.’s sober living environment. Responsibilities include monitoring resident activity and behavior, enforcing recovery house program guidelines and house rules, conducting regular security patrols, conducting property searches of newly arriving residents, collecting and testing resident urinalysis samples, and collaborating with recovery housing and Renewal, Inc. staff to address resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents
• Enforce recovery house program guidelines and house rules
• Conduct regular security patrols of the facility
• Conduct property searches of newly arriving residents
• Collect and test resident urinalysis samples
• Collaborate with recovery housing and Renewal, Inc. staff to address resident needs

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• High level of personal ethical standards
• Proven skills in problem solving and research
• Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalency and 1 year related experience required
• Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling preferred
• Experience working in a recovery housing setting preferred
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and PA Act 33/Act 34 clearance required
