Position Summary
The Recovery Coach works with clients to develop a daily routine focusing on behaviors needed for long-term recovery. They follow up with clients post-discharge to check on progress and offer support as needed.
Essential Job Functions
- Mets with client within 48 hours of admission to complete an Individual Recovery Plan.
- Mets with client at minimum twice a week to review Recovery Plan progress.
- Orients the client to the facility, program and its schedule.
- Aids individuals in recovery planning through completion or planning of concrete tasks (e.g., get a Big Book/Basic text, refer to Big Book study, identify local meetings to attend, connect with someone in their area if possible, etc.).
- Aids clients with activities of daily living within housing program (chores, free time activities, etc.).
- Works with client to develop a daily routine focusing on behaviors needed for long-term recovery.
- Willingly shares personal recovery experiences, demonstrates and models effective coping techniques and self-help strategies.
- Facilitates daily group activities as assigned, including morning community meeting, wrap-up meeting, 12-step study group and other activities as assigned.
- Participates in both group and individual supervision with Clinical staff.
- Works with client to develop a discharge plan inclusive of areas addressed in the Individual Recovery Plan.
- Follows up with client post-discharge to check on progress and offer support as needed.
Knowledge, Education, & Experience
- Minimum of a high school diploma.
- One year of experience working within a treatment program or recovery community.
- 12 Step knowledge preferred.
- Recovery Coach training preferred.

Schedule
3pm-11pm on Weekdays and 11AM-7PM on weekends. At least one weekend day a week required.
