Job Summary
The Transportation/Record Center Specialist (TS/RCS) is a hybrid role at Access responsible for driving Access vehicles and coordinating the delivery and pick-up of critical client documents & media in a timely, courteous, and professional manner. Additionally, this role involves maintaining and processing physical assets stored in the Records Center.
Primary Functions
- Drive to and from client sites, providing effective and timely delivery and pick-up of client materials in accordance with company policy and customer requirements.
- Load, unload material and media at both company and client locations using flatbeds and hand trucks.
- Utilize all equipment safely and in accordance with company policies and standards.
- Submit driver paperwork accurately, legibly, and on time each day.
- Complete PDT Communicate & Process steps daily for all assigned work orders.
- Handle all physical requirements for loading, unloading, transporting, and driving without assistance.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle according to company standards.
- Process daily incoming work orders and rush orders from Client Services; scan carton barcodes and locations.
- Investigate and resolve any order discrepancies for incoming or outgoing orders; manifest all orders, bundle, and prepare for shipment.
- Perform client onsite record reviews, retrieve files, containers, and tapes daily, and put them up within the required timeframe.
- Assist in loading and unloading company trucks and vans.
- Interact professionally with all clients.
- Communicate regularly with your direct supervisor about potential issues, including those related to your job or the client.
Secondary Functions
- Advise the appropriate manager of any issues requiring immediate attention, such as customer complaints or vehicle issues.
- Participate in safety and security drills and report any violations to the appropriate manager.
- Understand and adhere to the Company Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Report all accidents and injuries immediately to your supervisor.
- Travel between facilities as needed.
- Work overtime as necessary.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Education And Years Of Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of route transportation experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Demonstrate safe and efficient driving skills.
- Show strong communication and presentation skills.
- Have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Have an excellent customer-focused attitude.
- Be able to complete paperwork accurately, emphasizing the importance of detail.

- Multi-task and handle competing demands effectively.
- Communicate clearly in reading, writing, and speaking.
Physical Requirements
- Routine lifting of 20-60 pounds (100-500 containers per day).
- Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry wheeled, plastic bins over, up and down inclines, stairs, changes in walking surfaces and elevations.
- Routine bending and stretching.
- Routine pushing and pulling.
- Climb/step into a truck or cab.
- Tolerate occasional periods of maintaining entire body in erect posture with static weight bearing on one or both legs.
- Tolerate constant periods of resting without change in position.
- Tolerate occasional periods of moving the entire body from one location to another with the use of legs.
