Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon — Plano, Texas
About the role
This is a high-volume, high-impact role within a private practice known for taking on cases that meaningfully change patients' lives. The practice specializes in reconstructive plastic surgery, including hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), oncologic reconstruction, microsurgery, complex closures, and traumatic and emergency reconstruction.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of reconstructive procedures including HS surgery, oncologic reconstruction, microsurgery, breast reconstruction, complex ventral hernia repair, pelvic and perineal reconstruction, upper and lower extremity reconstruction, scalp reconstruction, and traumatic and emergency reconstruction.
- Work directly with surgeons who are leaders in this space, developing and implementing Thrive-developed protocols for high-complexity reconstruction.
- Establish a strong referral pipeline from day one, benefiting from established relationships with dermatology, oncology, and primary care.
- Participate in a team culture that prioritizes integrity, empathy, innovation, collaboration, and precision.
- Grow the practice through strategic partnerships and referrals, contributing to its expansion across Texas, Kansas, and additional markets nationwide.
Requirements
We are seeking an MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Plastic Surgery, a valid Texas medical license, or the ability to obtain one. Strong surgical skills paired with a commitment to patient-centered care are essential. Candidates should also be team-oriented, excited about reconstructive work, and open to discussing potential case mix evolution.
Qualifications
Candidates must have completed their residency and/or fellowship in plastic surgery and be eligible for board certification. Experience in reconstructive surgery is preferred but not required. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for patient-centered care and a willingness to grow within a dynamic, collaborative environment.
