Overview

Alera Group is seeking a Receptionist/Office Assistant to support risk strategy, client service excellence, and operational accuracy. This role supports the Property & Casualty team at Alera Group, which helps businesses protect their assets, manage risk, and plan confidently for the future.

Responsibilities

  • Implement client system support including data collection, document processing, and system updates to support client records and policy administration.
  • Provide ongoing client support and issue resolution by serving as the first point of contact for clients, vendors, and visitors, providing professional and courteous service.
  • Answer and route incoming calls and respond to basic customer inquiries.
  • Support client service requests and escalate complex issues to appropriate team members.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure requests are tracked, communicated, and resolved efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation within agency management systems.
  • Prepare scanned copies, file documents, and organize agency documents including applications, policy documents, and correspondence.
  • Track incoming and outgoing mail and support communication distribution.
  • Process payments, prepare daily deposits, and maintain accurate records.
  • Aid in scheduling meetings, managing office supplies, and supporting special projects.

Qualifications

  • Required: Experience in administrative support, customer service, or office environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and strong client service orientation.
  • Preferred: Experience in an insurance agency or financial services environment, familiarity with agency management systems or data entry platforms, experience supporting document processing, billing, or client records.

Additional Information

Compensation: Salary range - $17 - $21 hourly
