About the role

The Receptionist plays a crucial role in maintaining the reception area and handling incoming calls professionally and courteously. This position also involves organizing and distributing mail and assisting visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Answer switchboard calls and route to appropriate party.
  • Greet visitors, determine their purpose of visit, and relay to the correct individual or department.
  • Prepare and assemble mailings, sort incoming mail for distribution, and manage delivery of received items.
  • Cookinate/mail various credit union related letters.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of reception or administrative experience in a financial institution.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong comprehension skills and the ability to complete brief correspondence and memos.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize duties to perform job functions in a timely manner.
  • Project a professional image in speech and appearance for public interaction.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
