About the role
The Salvation Army offers holistic and strengths based case management services to families with children who have a desire to take action to break the cycle of crisis and attain a level of increased stability.
Responsibilities
- Projects a positive, professional, compassionate image of The Salvation Army to the community, donors, board members, and others who have interactions with The Salvation Army.
- Answers multi-line phone system and retrieves and routes voice mail messages.
- Performs daily administrative functions of outgoing mail, writing receipts for donations, sorting and distributing mail.
- Performs basic administrative functions for Social Services and Seasonal programs.
- Affixes in-kind donations, records keeping and routes donations to correct areas.
- Maintains a clean and welcoming environment for people as they enter the building.
- Updates and maintains bulletin boards and magazine displays.
- Supervises volunteers assigned to front desk.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license with approval to drive from TSA’s insurance carrier.
Qualifications
- One year of receptionist experience is preferred.
Skills
- Positive, professional, compassionate demeanor.
- Administrative and clerical skills.
- Phone system operation.
- Mail handling and organization.
- Volunteer supervision.
