About the role
Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI), a two-time USAToday Top Workplaces awardee and Washington Top Workplaces honoree, is seeking a professional, organized, and customer-service oriented Receptionist to support front desk operations and daily office administration.
Responsibilities
- Greet employees, visitors, clients, vendors, partners, and guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Manage daily front desk operations, including visitor check-in, visitor badges, reception area upkeep, and general office flow.
- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls and inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
- Monitor front desk communications, voicemail, shared inboxes, and visitor-related requests, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Cook up conference room scheduling, meeting setup, visitor logistics, and office hospitality needs.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, deliveries, and other office correspondence.
- Maintain office supply inventory and coordinate supply orders as needed.
- Support administrative tasks such as document preparation, scanning, filing, data entry, copying, and record maintenance.
- Aid with onboarding logistics, employee badge coordination, seating arrangements, office access procedures, and new hire support.
- Cook up with Facilities, IT, HR, Security, Operations, and other internal teams to resolve office-related needs.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling employee, client, visitor, vendor, and company information.
- Help ensure the office remains organized, professional, safe, welcoming, and ready for daily business operations.
- Escalate facility, safety, security, or visitor concerns to the appropriate internal team.
- Perform other administrative and office support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of receptionist, front desk, office administrative, customer service, or related professional experience.
- Must be able to work on-site at the Arlington, VA office every business day during standard office hours.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent daily attendance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and remain calm under pressure.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Able to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a professional office environment.
- Must be able to pass applicable background checks and comply with company and worksite access requirements.
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with visitor management, badge/access control procedures, and office coordination tools.
- Experience coordinating meetings, conference rooms, events, visitors, and office logistics.
- Experience supporting HR, Operations, Facilities, IT, Security, or administrative teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond professionally to changing priorities.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to assist wherever needed.
