Receptionist

About the role

Be the first point of contact at our hospital, creating positive impressions and ensuring a smooth, friendly experience for visitors and callers. Your role as the face of our organization is pivotal, contributing to a warm environment. You will operate the switchboard, manage front desk reception, and provide crucial clerical support across departments to ensure effective communication and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls and route to appropriate area or individual.
• Greet all visitors; assist them in signing in and wearing a badge.
• Enter and scan deposits, charges, and adjustments as directed.
• Run and distribute census reports each morning and at end of day.
• Assist in the entry of information related to admits, discharges, and physician changes.
• Scan all correspondence and any miscellaneous items.
• Check all therapy charges and attach census to the back of each therapist's batch.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Working knowledge of switchboard equipment preferred.
• Ability to use computer systems and complete data entry is preferred.
• Knowledge of 10-key data entry method preferred.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to coordinate, analyze, and make decisions.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts (weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights) as required.
