Responsibilities
Position Objective: The Receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting the daily administrative operations of the medical practice. As the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and callers, this role creates a welcoming, professional, and patient-centered experience.
- Patient Experience & Front Office Operations:
- Welcome patients, visitors, and vendors in a courteous, professional, and compassionate manner.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service in person and over the telephone.
- Manage front office operations, including answering and routing calls, greeting and assisting patients, scheduling and confirming appointments, and addressing routine inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Patient Registration & Administrative Support:
- Complete patient registration, check-in, check-out, insurance verification, payment collection, and appointment scheduling.
- Accurately maintain patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Balance and reconcile daily patient collections.
- Maintain patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA requirements.
- Assist patients with completing required paperwork and upload documents into the EMR.
- Support providers by maintaining patient records, medication lists, and other documentation.
- Patient Communication & Care Coordination:
- Complete inbound and outbound patient communications, including appointment reminders, medication reminders, and preventive care outreach.
- Assist with scheduling Annual Wellness Visits and follow-up appointments.
- Accurately document all patient communications within the EMR.
- Escalate clinical questions to the appropriate team member.
- Administrative Support:
- Maintain office supply inventory and notify leadership when replenishment is needed.
- Support providers and clinic staff with general administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to promote efficient clinic operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ year(s) of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience with patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, or front office operations preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA requirements.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physical activities required in a medical office environment, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting up to 15 pounds.
- Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to perform essential job functions.
- Reliable transportation to report to scheduled work locations and shifts.

Pay
USD $17.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.
