About the role

Spring Gardens of Draper is looking to add an exceptional, responsible Receptionist to our Front Desk team at our beautiful community in Draper, UT. This position is part-time and requires weekend availability.

Schedule

  • Saturday – Sunday: 2 pm – 6 pm (required)
  • Monday – Friday: 2 pm – 6 pm or 3 pm – 7 pm (can work all 5 days or specific days based on applicant availability)

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate individuals in a timely, clear, concise, and professional manner
  • Effectively manage business center and process incoming and outgoing mail
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment; follow established safety standards
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
  • Keep front lobby area and front desk clean and organized
  • Direct emergency personnel to emergency location and be contact person in case of emergency
  • Document in the logbook any significant incidents
  • Maintain visitor sign-in/out book, reservation book for guest rooms, and complete maintenance work orders

Qualifications

  • One (1) year of job-related experience preferred in senior-living communities
  • Positive and engaging demeanor
  • Passion for serving others
  • Willingness to be the first “great impression” for all who enter the community through friendliness and customer service
  • Experience with dementia care preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to facilitate small-group presentations
  • Competent organizational and time-management skills
  • Food-handlers, first-aid, and CPR certified (or within first 3 months of employment)
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to make responsible choices and decisions acting in residents’ best interests
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and design programs to help design community flyers and events
  • Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following community procedures and guidelines and following through on assigned tasks
