About the role
Start your career path in project management with Southland Industries’ Project Engineer position. You will work on exciting, multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects while developing skills in estimating, scheduling, and design within the design-build construction process.
Responsibilities
- Estimate the impact of project changes and provide information to applicable management.
- Manage change orders, ensuring they are completed accurately and tracked as required.
- Procure equipment, materials, and services; participate in the selection and hiring of subcontractors.
- Stay current on emerging trends.
- Analyze and resolve basic questions and problems as needed.
Requirements
- Basic ERP skills, including inquiring, reviewing, and printing job cost reports.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing drawings.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products (e.g., Excel).
- Four-year degree in Engineering or applicable experience.
