Receiving Team Member

Responsibilities

• Accept incoming freight from delivery trucks using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks
• Complete appropriate paperwork for incoming inventory
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage
• Report missing or broken items to manager
• Place incoming products onto shelves, racks, or in designated warehouse zones while maintaining organization
• Drive forklift safely according to all applicable laws
• Coordinate distribution process with various departments
• Monitor freight movement using various computer software applications
• Assist with material handling and truck loading when needed
• Use various types of hand tools and power tools as required
• Work continuously in a manner that ensures the safety of self and others
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in logistics, warehouse, or other related field required
• Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and clear communication required
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with inventory management software or warehouse databases required
• Ability to work professionally with others required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Effective organizational, planning, and prioritization skills preferred
• Ability to meet productivity and quality standards preferred
• Ability to use a forklift and overhead crane required
• Experience with multiple hand and power tools preferred
• Ability to follow instructions required
