Receiving Supervisor

About the role

The Overnight Receiving Supervisor oversees warehouse operations in retail stores, supervising staff and managing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control, etc.
• Schedules warehouse personnel to ensure productivity and efficiency.
• Maintains warehouse equipment and communicates necessary repairs.
• Ensures warehouse safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Trains and monitors employees' adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Handles employee inquiries and resolves issues.
• Collaborates with other departments for efficient warehouse operations.
• Completes activity reports and resolves discrepancies.
• Executes Storage Buy Audit COP and manages inventory rotation.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 years of supervisory experience in warehouse or distribution centers.
• Excellent interpersonal, team-building, delegating, and follow-up skills.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Basic mathematical calculations and strong computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong computer skills, proficient in Windows-based systems.
• Physical requirements: ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel, stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
