Receiving Coordinator - 1st Shift - RDC
What You’ll Do
The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator will enter data for shipping/receiving orders and work with internal and external customers to resolve issues related to invoicing shipping and on-hand counts in the warehouse. In this function, they will ensure the accuracy of transaction documents of incoming/outgoing material, evaluate shipments for adherence to all state, federal, and global restrictions, serve as a resource manager system (SAP) expert on the team, schedule transportation for truckload and less-than-truckload shipments, assist the department in loading/unloading trucks, scanning and tagging as needed, adhere to environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, provide process and safety improvement ideas, and use the principles of 5S+ to ensure a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications Required (Basic)
- One year of experience in logistics or warehouse environment
- High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience using SAP
- Previous experience with fork lifts
- Basic working knowledge and experience with computers
Skills
- Ability to follow procedures and written instructions
- Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures
- Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and bend frequently
