Receiving Shift Supervisor (Team Coach) -1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Coordinating unloading of deliveries and incoming shipments
• Verifying shipment accuracy against purchase orders and invoices
• Inspecing goods for damage, shortages, or quality issues
• Maintaining accurate inventory records in warehouse management systems
• Communicating with vendors, carriers, purchasing, and warehouse teams
• Resolving discrepancies, damaged goods claims, and delivery issues
• Organizing and optimizing receiving dock operations
• Enforcing workplace safety procedures and compliance standards
• Training new receiving employees and monitoring performance
• Scheduling staff shifts and managing labor productivity
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of receiving areas
• Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as receiving accuracy and turnaround times
• Using warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet jacks
• Preparing reports for management on receiving activities and inventory status
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse efficiency
• Collaborate with other departments to improve production processes and efficiency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Knowledge of manufacturing machine equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Regular lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, electrical hazards, and explosives
• Noise levels can be very loud, requiring ear protection
